About Us

Star-fire is based in Glastonbury, Somerset, and is run by Esther Lohneis. She
has been involved in energy healing since 1996, and since then has undertaken
extensive training in different types of healing, including spiritual healing, reiki
and therapeutic healing (colour, sound, crystals). Since 2002 she has also
completed four year-long trainings in shamanic healing, as well as training in
person-centred counselling skills.

She says:

I have been blessed to have been taught by teachers of great skill and
knowledge, who are recognised as being some of the best in their field,
particularly those in the area of shamanic practice. In this area my main
teachers have been Howard and Elsa Malpas, although I have also been lucky
enough to have worked with Leo Rutherford, Annie Spencer, Bhola Nath
Banstola, John-Luke Edwards and others too numerous to name.

All of these teachers have embodied a special quality of open-heartedness, and
humbleness of spirit, which has created the space necessary for me to work
through my own issues, and guided me in beautiful and unexpected ways, so
allowing my own wisdom and gifts to emerge.

Although aware of spirit as a child, my own awakening truly began from
experiencing my father's death. Although this event was a great trauma at the
time, I now consider it one of the greatest gifts I have received as it started me
on the pathway of deepening awareness, greater consciousness and self-healing.

My purpose here is to offer to facilitate other's healing and personal growth; my
belief is that we need to wake up now, and it is through the means of workshops,
writings and healing sessions that I can best contribute to this process.
